Improvement of the electronic system for the issuance of building permits through the provision of a back-up server, which will enhance its stability and availability for over 6,500 users that benefit from it every day. Server and network equipment were procured through the project, as well as necessary licences. The aim of this activity was to contribute to the creation of a more favourable business environment by improving the efficiency and transparency of the e-government and, ultimatively, to new investments. At the same time, citizens’ trust in institutions, as well as the quality of services that are being offered through the e-government will also be enhanced.

Finalisation of the construction of the water Supply System “Roda” will enable stable supply of quality drinking water to 4,500 inhabitants of the villages Dobri Dol, Rajčilovci, Radičevci and Mlekominci. Additionally, the losses in the water supply system will be reduced, while through good governance activities the Public Utility Company will establish an efficient system for billing and measurement of water source capacities and distribution.

Support to establishment of the consumable goods production that will create five full-time jobs and subsequently contribute to alleviation of poverty in Bosilegrad Municipality. The project is the extension of the previous CIF project that enabled 41 socially vulnerable households to start the cultivation of strawberries.

Provision of support to 15 unemployed heads of households to start honey production business.

Economic strengthening of at least 30 socially vulnerable families through procurement of equipment for food processing, and trainings on gathering and selling wild fruits, mushrooms and herbs.

The development of the main design for the atmospheric sewerage of the central part of Bosilegrad Municipality. In this way, all atmospheric precipitation that now goes uncontrollably and creates sand, gravel and other materials, would be directed into the natural flows of the Dragovistica River and Dobri Dol stream, which have a regulated riverbed in this area.

The reconstruction of the ruined, leaking roof and procurement of modern equipment will result in full functionality of the local Cultural Centre, the library and the Centre for Social Work, which are sharing the same building.

Developing policies and / or administrative regulations addressing vertical coordination and communication between the LSGs and government institutions

The project is to be implemented in partnership with NALED and the Ministry of Construction, Transportation and Infrastructure, and implies yrainings and mentorship support for LSGs and PUCs, recommendations for internal improvements, support for upload of planning documents amd obtaining inputs that can facilitate policy improvements.
