What we do

Result 1: Improved development planning and introduction of the Integrated Territorial Investment (ITI) concept

The Government of the Republic of Serbia has focused on the introduction of good practices of the EU Member States aiming to satisfy needs and simultaneously optimise the capacities and potentials of less developed cities and municipalities in the most efficient and effective manner.

The Programme activities aim to develop national and local capacities for defining and implementing strategic integrated development in Southern Serbia via:

  • Supporting the Ministry of European Integration (MEI) in defining an Integrated Sustainable Territorial Development (ISTD) model

  • Building the capacities of the MEI, Regional Development Agencies (RDAs) and local self-governments (LSGs) for implementing Integrated Sustainable Territorial Development

  • Supporting local self-governments (LSGs) in developing Integrated Sustainable Territorial Development strategies/plans

  • Supporting the implementation of Integrated Sustainable Territorial Development plans
