Rebuilding Opportunities Through Sports in Mionica

Discover how EU support of 188,987 Euros revitalised the Mionica Sports Centre, creating a welcoming space for the entire community, with a special focus on children with disabilities. The project included the reconstruction of a 198 m² facility, featuring an adapted area for athletes and clubs with dressing rooms, and a medical centre for sport practitioners. Most importantly, it has introduced inclusive programmes that inspire healthier lifestyles for everyone.

This is one of 37 local infrastructure projects across Šumadija and Western Serbia, and Southern and Eastern Serbia, funded by the EU through the EU PRO Plus Programme with nearly 6 million Euros. These projects are improving the quality of life by upgrading educational, healthcare, and social welfare institutions, as well as sports and cultural facilities, public administration buildings, and communal services.
