This year's theme "Your ideas, your future" should motivate young people in the regions of Šumadija and Western and Southern and Eastern Serbia to reflect and then draw which project would make their hometown a better place for young people to live in, what positive changes could they themselves initiate and to consider what developments in their own communities would motivate young people to remain and continue to live in their hometowns.
"Previous participants in our art competitions have helped us to better understand the challenges and opportunities of local communities seen through the eyes of young people and see them as suggestions on how to improve the quality of life at the local level. We hope that this topic will engage the young people to come up with ideas and projects that would significantly contribute to a better life of young people and create conditions for life, education and work across the country," said Olivera Kostić, EU PRO Plus Programme Manager.
The pupils, as well as the general public will be able to vote online through the EU PRO Plus programme official website and thus select 12 favorites from the 20 works previously shortlisted by the internal jury. Online voting will be open after the competition closes and will last for five days. The “voice of the audience” will participate as the fifth member of the jury, and taking it into account, the jury members will make a selection of the 12 best artworks that will be published on the pages of the EU PRO Plus calendar for 2022, while the winning authors will be awarded laptops, tablets, and mobile phones.
The authors of the 12 winning artworks will be awarded laptops, tablets, and mobile phones, while in accordance with the EU PRO Plus tradition, we invite schools to organise internal contests to select the artwork which will represent the individual schools in the competition. The school that proves to be most engaged in the organisation of the internal competition will be awarded a laptop and a projector.
The Competition is open until 25 November 2021 while the Propositions are on the EU PRO Plus website.
