Local self-governments should submit the projects that contribute to a better quality of life through the improvement of public infrastructure facilities, including the renovation and construction of educational, health and social care institutions, sports and cultural facilities, utilities and public administration buildings. When selecting projects, special attention will be paid to improving the living conditions of members of vulnerable groups, as well as to the COVID-19 recovery.
The value of individual projects may range from 42,000 to 170,000 Euros, while municipalities should ensure co-financing of at least 15 percent of the total project value. In order to improve the sustainability of the project, local self-governments can apply on their own, but also in partnership with other local self-governments, public companies and institutions, as well as with civil society organisations and regional development agencies.
The call envisages support for the construction or reconstruction of public buildings, which should contribute to their functionality, as well as to improving the energy efficiency of public buildings, their accessibility, improvement and protection of the environment and urban mobility.
More information on this call as well as the application documentation is available on the Programme website i.e. the Public Call for Local Infrastructure Projects dedicated page while the info-sessions will be held during December 2021 and January 2022, when an online info-session will also be posted on the EU PRO Plus website.
