Designed to enhance the competitiveness of SMEs in metal industry the project envisages the development of a toolkit for innovative models of presentation at international fairs. Although primarily developed for nine West Metal Group cluster members, the model will afterwards be available to all SMEs in the region. The project will also secure fulfilment of the preconditions for successful penetration of new markets through process of implementation/certification/recertification of relevant standards in all cluster members. During the project implementation partners will build up their capacities in business development service provision particularly in the field of access to finance and business internationalisation.

The food (baked goods) micro enterprise will procure a freezer for cool storage and packaging equipment to introduce a new line of products. The production currently employs 21 workers while resulting job creation is one immediate post and additional two within a three-year period. The proposed CSR activity envisages donation of their own products to the socially vulnerable families and annual scholarship to a student to attend the agricultural school.

Completion of communal infrastructure for drainage of atmospheric water in the Krčagovo business zone should ensure flood protection for the existing companies and improve conditions for their business operations. At the same time, conditions for new investments in this business zone will be improved and consequently lead to new investments and jobs.

The Detailed Regulation Plan will contribute to revitalisation, protection, presentation and economic valorisation of cultural heritage while creating synergy with other important locations such as the old hydroelectric power plant and the Gorge of the Аetinja River, tourist attractions in the surrounding area (Mokra Gora, Tara, Zlatibor), which will improve the tourist offer of the Zlatibor district and initiate investment activities in this area.

Improvement of the electronic system for the issuance of building permits through the provision of a back-up server, which will enhance its stability and availability for over 6,500 users that benefit from it every day. Server and network equipment were procured through the project, as well as necessary licences. The aim of this activity was to contribute to the creation of a more favourable business environment by improving the efficiency and transparency of the e-government and, ultimatively, to new investments. At the same time, citizens’ trust in institutions, as well as the quality of services that are being offered through the e-government will also be enhanced.

The reconstruction of the heating and ventilation system and the replacement of joinery will provide better conditions for both theatre staff and audience, while contributing to the establishment of a sustainable, energy efficient system in this public cultural building. Additionally, the pollution from heating plants, one of the main problems of Užice during wintertime and heating costs will be reduced.
