Improvement of the electronic system for the issuance of building permits through the provision of a back-up server, which will enhance its stability and availability for over 6,500 users that benefit from it every day. Server and network equipment were procured through the project, as well as necessary licences. The aim of this activity was to contribute to the creation of a more favourable business environment by improving the efficiency and transparency of the e-government and, ultimatively, to new investments. At the same time, citizens’ trust in institutions, as well as the quality of services that are being offered through the e-government will also be enhanced.

The General Regulation Plan of Nova Varoš is a basic planning document necessary for harmonization of spatial plans of the Republic of Serbia and those of the Municipality, their strategic development priorities for organization and landscaping of the municipal territory, revitalization and fixing of the existing contents as well as creation of new contents based on natural resources, created values and long term needs of economic and social development.

Promotion of Gender Equality in South West Serbia

This project, implemented jointly by Nova Varoš and Prijepolje, contributed to the increase of the profit from tourism and improved the region’s visibility and impact in key markets. Initially it was planned to map 25 kilometres of hiking trail that connects Uvac Canyon and Sopotnica Waterfalls, however 56 kilometres were marked, cleaned and widened where necessary. In addition, ten households were trained on rural development, five from each participating municipality
