The development of technical documentation for the construction of primary water supply will enable further development of businesses in the Working-Business Zone in Malošište and contribute to an increase in the standard and quality of living of the local population.

Improvement of the electronic system for the issuance of building permits through the provision of a back-up server, which will enhance its stability and availability for over 6,500 users that benefit from it every day. Server and network equipment were procured through the project, as well as necessary licences. The aim of this activity was to contribute to the creation of a more favourable business environment by improving the efficiency and transparency of the e-government and, ultimatively, to new investments. At the same time, citizens’ trust in institutions, as well as the quality of services that are being offered through the e-government will also be enhanced.

Upgrading of 2,460 metres of the Pusta Reka Water Supply System and its connection to the Niš System will enable all 5,154 inhabitants of the villages Malošište, Čapljinac, Belotinac and Klisura as well as business entities working in the municipality, to have access to healthy drinking water. Within good governance activities, the Rulebook on the conditions and method of connection to the water supply system will be adopted and used by the Public Utility Company.

Human Security: Improve the security and fire protection in Roma settlements through trainings, provision of fire extinguishers and establishment of volunteer firefighting associations in five municipalities covered by the project.

Support preparation and implementation of local strategies/action plans for employment and social inclusion; Promote active inclusion and improved integration of social and employment services;

Following the successful finalisation of the training, the beneficiaries will be employed in the "Leoni Wiring Systems Southeast" company

The development of the main design for the reconstruction and the reorganisation of the ground floor of Doljevac preschool institution “Lane”. One part of the building will serve as a kindergarten and another as a vocational education department of the “ Niš School of Economics”

The development of the main design for the Construction of Reservoir "Kočane" will create preconditions to improve the local sources of healthy drinking water and would reduce current deficit in the supply of the potable drinking water.

Hair and beauty care salon

The project will provide more income generating opportunities for vegetable and fruit growers, as well as for those who are looking to start agriculture-based business. This would create more income for local self-government as well, through collection of fees and taxes.

Developing policies and / or administrative regulations addressing vertical coordination and communication between the LSGs and government institutions

The project is to be implemented in partnership with NALED and the Ministry of Construction, Transportation and Infrastructure, and implies yrainings and mentorship support for LSGs and PUCs, recommendations for internal improvements, support for upload of planning documents amd obtaining inputs that can facilitate policy improvements.

Developing reform packages for improvement of the local governance; Support to municipal GG capacities and establishment of the Municipal GG Competence Centres

Provision of trainings for use of FIDIC contracts for Works to all Programme LSGs and on job trainings for LSGs that will receive CFCU Grants

The assessment will provide insight into the governance levels of the participating LSGs.
