Objective: To increase quality and enhance sustainability of social services provided to the citizens at the local level, particularly to the disadvantaged groups and during the periods of intensified need such as the pandemic or other state of emergencies

Total Indicative Budget: 600,000 Euros intended for the realisation of at least twenty projects

Amount to be awarded per individual project: from 10,000 to 30,000 Euros

Eligibility Criteria: Civil society organizations (CSOs), as well as local self-government units (LSGs) in partnership with representatives of the civil sector on the territory of the 99 municipalities and cities covered by the Programme in the two regions: Šumadija and Western Serbia and Southern and Eastern Serbia.

Scope: Projects that will be considered for support may include but will not be limited to the following activities:

  • Sustainability and improvement of existing and introduction of innovative and / or integrated social services in order to address and prevent the negative impacts of COVID-19, especially for the members of vulnerable groups

  • Address the gaps in provision of social protection services identified during the COVID-19 crisis and/or expand existing services as a response to the increased demands in social protection services created as a result of the crises 

  • Enhance preparedness and resilience of the social services providers, primarily public institutions, for possible future emergencies and major disruptions

For the purposes of this Call, social services have been identified as various public services intended to provide assistance to vulnerable groups, such as the elderly, people with disabilities, children and youth, women, Roma, etc. The service can be provided by a public institution and civil society organisation and primarily includes social protection services, public education and health care.
